Over 15 years after it came to a close, Teen Titans star Tara Strong has shared her thoughts on a possible revival of the original show. Developed by Glen Murakami, David Slack and Sam Register, the animated series marked the first proper adaptation of the DC Comics superhero team comprised of Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Raven and Beast Boy.Teen Titanschronicled their battled with various criminal threats in Jump City, including Slade Wilson, as well as their struggles with growing up and their friendships.

The cast forTeen Titanswas led by Scott Menville as Robin, Hynden Walch as Stafire, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Tara Strong as Raven and Greg Cipes as Beast Boy. The series received widespread critical acclaim across its five-season run, with praise directed towards its character development, anime-influenced animation, humor and adult themes. While the group of have made the occasional return in crossover films and shorts, the originalTeen Titanshas mostly remained absent since the show's finale, but one star is hopeful to bring it back one day.

Tara Strong recently spoke exclusively withScreen Rantto discussTeen Titans Go! & DC Super Hero Girls: Mayhem in the Multiverse. In looking at her time playing Raven in both shows, Strong commented on a possible revival of the originalTeen Titansshow, expressing her hopes to continue the story from its cliffhanger finale. "It's been so nice, because it was hard in the beginning to see all the hate, because we as performers were so happy that we were invited back. Because in actuality, it's a different show and I think people were angry because season 5 ended at such a pivotal story arc moment that they were hoping that when the Teen Titans came back, it was going to answer all of their questions and take them back on this adventure and it didn't.

So I don't even think the initial reaction was actually to that show, more the disappointment to not getting season 6, which I personally believe they could do at the same time, because they're two different shows and the audiences now all really love each other...I have so much love for both existences. I want to go back, I want to finish that story or at least add to it. It feels very magical and special and important to so many people, so it would be very rewarding to get to go back and do it. If they recast, I'm going to be really pissed off if they ever do that. [Laughs]"

While all of the team members had memorable storylines across its five seasons, Raven inTeen Titansis generally considered to be the biggest breakout character from the series. Raven's struggles with her ancestry as the daughter of the interdimensional demon Trigon was praised for its compelling development, namely as she goes from a stoic, closed-off teen to warmly opening up to her teammates.Teen Titansseason 4 memorably shined a spotlight on Raven with an adaptation of the "Terror of Trigon" comics storyline as she tries to prevent her destiny to become Trigon's portal for their world, initially leaving the team to protect them, though later being saved by them and convinced to defeat her father, thus saving the world.

Given Teen Titans season 5 ended with Beast Boy reuniting with the rest of the team to battle the seemingly undefeatable White Monster but faded into white without a resolution to the fight, it's understandable both Strong and fans of the series continue to hold out hope for a revival, even if theTrouble in Tokyomovie technically served as a series finale. With the superhero team still as popular as ever thanks to the likes ofTeen Titans Go!andTitans, the door does seem open for a possible revival of the original animated show.
